Monk (the Cat)

Monk was a stray cat that we took in during the fall of 2013. We estimated he was just a few months old at the time. During his first stop at our house, he crawled up into the engine compartment of our daughter's car and rode there back to her house, about 6 miles away. When she got home, she heard meowing coming from her car and found him under the hood. She took him in for a few days, but she already had a dog and a couple cats and it just got to be too much. So, my wife and I took him in. My wife made an attempt to find his owner but was not successful. The first night we had him, he crawled onto my lap and claimed me as his human. I had never thought I could get so attached to a cat.
